Curated by Pierluigi Carofanothe exhibition has its fulcrum in the work of the Lombard master St John the Baptist lying. St. John Baptist patron saint of the city of Ragusa with the dedicated Cathedral in continuous dialogue of closeness with the place of the exhibition, it was one of the most reproduced subjects in Michelangelo Merisi’s paintings also in the childish or just adolescent version in the theme of “San Giovannino” which is central in the work exhibited in the Hyblean capital. With the St John the Baptist lying Four other works are exhibited, all centered on the figure of the Saint, by Domenico Piola, Luigi Garzi, Giovanni Odazzi and Francesco Rustici.
